How to Personalize Your Fountain... Each fountain is ready to enjoy. Just fill it with distilled water and plug it in. However, you can easily customize your Water Sounds fountain. There's no magic formula for making the "right" fountain. Experiment with your fountain to make it uniquely yours. Here are some ideas: Remove enough rocks to form a small pool of water in the fountain. Push some of the rocks up against the waterspout to produce a quieter, gentler sound. Add one or a few special items that are meaningful to you, such as a shell, crystal, another rock, or a small statuette. In a large fountain, float a candle. Turn the pump volume up or down. Empty all of the rocks and replace them with your own selection of rocks, shells, and/or crystals. Clean rocks, stones, and shells before putting them in your fountain.
